AJK Film’s slate of films is influenced by producer Alicia J. Keyes’ previous experience as an acquisition’s executive at The Walt Disney Company, where she was the Executive Director of Worldwide Acquisitions and Co-productions (1999-2003).   During that time, Keyes was responsible for the acquisition of theatrical motion pictures for distribution on behalf the studio.  This included select and all international rights for films under the Buena Vista International banner and domestic and remake rights under the Buena Vista Motion Pictures Banner (Touchstone/Hollywood/Disney).

Keyes began AJK FILMS to develop story-driven feature films that on face value target specific audience groups, but that also have crossover potential due to their universal storylines and strong marketing hooks.  Keyes works with established and up-and-coming filmmakers with unique voices and passionate ideas.

Keyes just completed Blaze You Out, a film co-directed by Mateo Frazier and Diego Joaquin Lopez and starring veteran actors: Elizabeth Pena, Raoul Trujillo and Mark Adair Rios alongside Q’orianka Kilcher, Jeremy Ray Valdez, and newcomers Veronica Diaz Carranza and Melissa Cordero.  In addition, Keyes recently wrapped production on Biomass a scientific thriller with Director Anthony Riazzi and continues to produce web-series, Enter the Dojo. For her next project, she’s partnering with Fernando Meirelles (City of God, Constant Gardener) and Marina Fuentes (6 Sales) on a romantic comedy, The 3%, that will be helmed by Brazilian director, Nando Olival (Maids).

Prior to Disney, she served as the Manager of Creative Affairs for Hill/Fields, a television production company based in Los Angeles.  She has also worked in sales and distribution in Santiago, Chile for Representaciones de Television (RTL).
